Symposium Bursaries
Thanks to the generous support of Lotterywest, we’re pleased to offer bursaries to help Autistic individuals, parents, and carers attend the 2026 Spectrum Space Symposium. These bursaries are designed to subsidise the cost of attendance, supporting greater access to learning, connection, and community. Bursaries are limited, and early application is encouraged.
What the Bursary Covers
Bursaries provide partial financial support toward the cost of a Symposium ticket.
If your application is successful, you will be asked to contribute $99 toward your ticket. The remaining cost of the ticket will be subsidised through this bursary.
Please note that tickets are not fully funded through the bursary program.
Eligibility
You may apply for a bursary if you:
- Are a Western Australia resident
- Are 18 years or older
- Have lived experience of autism, either as an Autistic person or as a parent or guardian
Key Dates
- Applications close: 28 February 2026
- Outcome notifications: 15 March 2026
- Ticket purchase deadline: 9:00 AM, Monday 20 March 2026 (no extensions available)
Some applicants may be notified prior to the closing date to support planning and travel arrangements.
We reserve the right to close applications before the due date, if the grant has been expended.
If you accept a bursary, we ask that you commit to attending the full Symposium. If your circumstances change and you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so the bursary can be offered to another person.
If your application is successful, you will receive instructions on how to claim and purchase your subsidised ticket.
The Bursary does NOT fully fund the Symposium ticket. You will be required to pay a contribution of $99 to secure your Symposium Ticket. If successful, you will receive information on how to purchase your Bursary supported ticket.
Spectrum Space’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into about the decision.
